WILLIAM J. KITA was admitted to the New York State bar in 1979 and the United States District Court, Western District of New York in 1980. He graduated from Boston College in 1972 and the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 1978. A member of the Erie County and New York State Bar Associations, he also serves as Treasurer of the Buffalo Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is a member of the American Inns of Court, Charles S. Desmond Chapter, and the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association.

Bill’s career has centered on personal injury litigation. He also has extensive experience in commercial litigation, as well as Estates and Real Property practice. Frequently he is asked to serve as an arbitrator by his peers in the Defense Bar. He is a member of the Judiciary committee of the Bar Association of Erie County, which rates judicial candidates on their fitness for office.

An accomplished guitar player, Bill has been a music minister in his church for over thirty years, and also plays in a band, Five to One, which has released its first CD. He served on the Board of Directors and is a past President of the Youth Orchestra Foundation of Buffalo, Inc., and serves on the Advisory Board of the Bread of Life Outreach Center in Colden, New York.
